FAQ’s

Q

Is your stoneware machine-made or handmade?

A

Oooh. Trick question, since there are about 100 steps in our manufacturing process. (Yep. 100. Not a typo.)So, yes, machines are part of that process, but (also yes), a whole lot of humans are involved in multiple stepsas well to achieve the handmade look we’re after.

Q

I know you say the colors mix and match, but how do I know-know they’ll be an honest-to-goodness, spot-on match with no “But arrrre they?” question bubble hovering above my head?? (Yes I have trust issues based on not-great experiences with other brands in the past.)

A

You will not need to dim the lights and squint to convince yourself these match. We create the same range of tones across all colors (Dark, Medium, Light) to give you as much flexibility as possible. Seriously – however you mix them, they will match. That ensures that a stoneware plate in Light Blue will work great with our linens in other Blue tones OR linens in our different colors but the same Light tone.

Q

Is over&back high-maintenance? Does it require special care? (What I’m really asking: Do they need hand-washing? ‘Cause that’s not my jam.)

A

We heart automated appliances too! No need for pampering our tableware and linens. We’re practical people, so all our linens can go right into your washer/dryer, and all our dishes, flatware and glassware are 100% dishwasher safe. Every item goes through 3rd-party lab testing for safety and proper care instructions, so when they green-light it, we know we’re good to go. It’s all designed to hold up to everyday use, and look spectacular doing it.

Q

How do you protect the items to prevent breakage during shipping? (I’m planning a party and want to use what I ordered stat. No time for Plan B.)

A

No Plan B, C or D needed. We firmly believe Dish Delivery Day should be happy, so we prepare every shipment for a cushy, uneventful journey. We even have an accredited 3rd party lab run all of our packaging through a physical drop test (exactly what it sounds like) to mimic bumpy rides or rough drop-offs. That way, we can be certain your delivery will arrive just the way we packed it up.

Q

What are the “rules” for mixing and matching?

A

Pfft – rules. But there are some guidelines to ensure your table looks great. We recommend staying withina color family and mixing up different tones/patterns OR staying with the same tones across a few different colors.See our inspiration page to see how that looks.
